- Presidential: The Queen is the hereditary head of state. The Prime Minister is appointed by the governor-general.

1. The House of Representatives members are elected by plurality vote in single-member constituencies.
2. The 6 Senate members are appointed on the advice of the prime minister, 3 on the advice of the leader of the opposition, and 2 after consultation with religious, economic, and social groups.
· Voting process
1. Verify voter ID card
2. Dip right index finger into the electoral ink
3. Receive ballots -> Mark ballots -> Cast ballots
· Counting process
1. The ballot boxes are collected from each polling station in the constituency and taken to a central point.
2. There the seals are checked before the boxes are opened and the votes for each candidate are counted.
3. When the counting finishes, the results of voting in that constituency are announced by the returning officer, who declares the winner of the election.
