- Presidential: majority vote through a two-round system. First-round candidates need 50% of the votes or 40% and 10 point advantage over the closest rival.

1. 15 members are elected through an open-list proportional representation system
2. 116 members are elected by plurality vote in single-member constituencies
3. 6 members are elected by majority vote in multi-member constituencies. The six seats are for Ecuadorians living abroad, elected in three multi-member constituencies representing continents.

· Counting process
1. Manual Count in Polling Station: take each ballot out of the box one by one consecutively, and display it to the attending public witnesses.
2. Once the counting records have reached the CPR, they are digitalized manually.
3. All counting records are submitted to the competent PEB for final review.
