· Counting process
1. Counting begins immediately after the close of polling in public.
2. The results are posted outside the polling station.
3. The presiding officer delivers the original statement to the CELI chairperson to consolidate the results.
4. Each CELI then delivers its statement to the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) to consolidate the results before announcing preliminary results.
5. The CENI submits a detailed report to the Constitutional Court within eight days. For presidential and legislative elections, the Constitutional Court is responsible for announcing the final results. For local elections, this responsibility is left to the Supreme Court.
