· Voting process
1. Show voter card or national identity card to verify identity and receives a ballot paper
2. Voter goes into a booth and marks his ballot, returns with a folded ballot and puts inside the ballot box
3. The record of his casting a vote is done by signing or marking with his left index finger on the list in the margin of his name
· Counting process
1. Agents count the votes in the polling station, in the presence of the representatives of candidates, observers and five selected voters if available.
2. The results of the polling station are proclaimed and the tally sheet including remarks is completed on the spot.
3. Results are displayed at the polling station
4. After tabulation and proclamation of results at the local level, the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) proclaims provisional results at the national level.
5. After vetting from the Constitutional Council, the CEI announces the final results.
