Progress Updates and Collaborative Efforts

The 6th General Assembly of A-WEB is fast approaching, and significant strides have been made in preparation for this important event. Here's a roundup of our recent collaborative efforts and updates.

Bilateral Meeting with the IEC South Africa

A bilateral working level meeting between the A-WEB Secretariat and the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), Chair of A-WEB, occurred online on July 17, 2024. Both parties shared and discussed the agenda, laying the groundwork for the event. An essential part of the discussions included organizing a trilateral meeting involving the office bearers of A-WEB. This collaboration aims to ensure a comprehensive and well-coordinated General Assembly.

Preparations with the RNEC Colombia

In July, other bilateral working level meetings were held between the A-WEB Secretariat and the RNEC Colombia, the host organization of the upcoming 6th General Assembly meeting, to discuss its progress. As a follow-up, the official invitation letter, signed by the National Registrar of the RNEC Colombia and the Secretary General of A-WEB, was sent out.

The A-WEB Secretariat team is currently in Colombia to confirm more detailed logistical arrangements for the General Assembly.
