  -  6 am and 6 pm respectively

 · Number of registered voters: 194,169 (2018 election)

 · Voter turnout: 63.83% (2018 National Assembly election)

 · Voting age: 18 

 - Presidential: two-round system, majority system

 - Parliamentary: 

   1. 52 members of the National Assembly are directly elected in multi-seat constituencies by a simple majority vote. 

   2. 13 are directly elected in multi-seat constituencies by a proportional representation vote.

 

· Voting process

  1. Voter proves his identity and verifies that his name is on the voter list.

  2. The voter is given the ballot papers.

  3. After the voter marks his ballot and puts it in an envelope and places it inside the ballot box, the voter signs his initials beside his name on the voter list. 

  4. The voter’s left thumb is marked with indelible ink.

 

· Counting process: 

  1. Manual count in a polling station and display it to the attending public witnesses.

  2. The results of each polling station are transmitted directly in the presence of other members of the polling stationwhich tabulate and centralize the results.

  3. The final results are made public by the Ministry of the Interior.
