On May 10, 2024, representatives from the A-WEB Secretariat undertook a significant visit to the Supreme Election Council (YSK) of Türkiye, fostering fruitful discussions on the imperative of sharing exemplary election management practices. The meeting was also reported in the local Turkish media. During their visit, they engaged with President Ahmet Yener and delved into preparations for the upcoming 6th General Assembly meeting of A-WEB, slated to convene in Bogota, Colombia, this October. Notably, this event will also feature the esteemed Awards Ceremony recognizing Best Practices and Initiatives.
Among the distinguished recipients of these inaugural awards stands the Supreme Election Council of Türkiye. President Yener elaborated on the YSK's pioneering initiatives and its robust engagement within A-WEB, underscoring the paramount importance of interchanging election methodologies with fellow member Election Management Bodies (EMBs).
