| A-WEB Deploys an Election Observation Mission to Ecuador in August |

The National Electoral Council (CNE) of Ecuador has invited A-WEB to observe the upcoming snap general elections scheduled to be held on 20 August 2023. Ecuadorians will vote for the president, vice-president, and members of the National Assembly in the elections. And a national referendum in Yasuni National Park and the Choco Andino area will be held on the same day. The officials to be elected will serve out the remainder of the current presidential and legislative terms (2021-2025).
The A-WEB Election Observation Mission (EOM) comprises six election practitioners and experts from six countries – the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Paraguay, Peru, and Belgium.
A-WEB has sent its EOMs to Ecuador since 2017, most recently for the local elections in February 2023 |
