The A-WEB Secretariat launched the 2021 Election Management Capacity Building Program (CBP). Its first course on Strengthening Voter Education was held from 13 to 22 April 2021 in a virtual setting. CBP is implemented by the A-WEB Secretariat as part of the Official Development Assitance projects of the government of the Republic of Korea. Election officials from four election management bodies of Kazakhstan, Malawi, Moldova, and Afghanistan participated in the course. During the training, all participants had a chance to study best practices on voter education from peer election bodies of Fiji, the Republic of Korea, Pakistan, and Paraguay. Participants shared information and experience on voter education programs during COVID-19, effective use of social media in voter education, and discussed key considerations when designing and implementing voter outreach programs.
