| Signing of an MOU between A-WEB and CENI |

The Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Independent National Electoral Commission of the Republic of Guinea (CENI) on February 27, 2017 in San Salvador, the Republic of El Salvador. In the MOU Kim Yong-Hi, Secretary General to A-WEB, and Bakary Fofana, President to CENI, promised each other to establish a mechanism for cooperation in the design and implementation of the electoral process, and for mutual consultation and cooperation in the field of electoral management and administration.
The main agendas of this MOU are on promotion of exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of organizational and technical development of the electoral process, with a view to developing the practice of management and administration; support in the exchange of information, materials, expertise, facilitation of personnel training; fostering relationships with other electoral authorities and organizations; and production and distribution of materials pertaining to electoral systems, voting technology and voters’ education and awareness. |
