A WEB

The 4th Executive Board Meeting of A-WEB was held its New Delhi, India on February 22.

The Meeting was attended by Chairperson Roberto Rosario Marquez from the Dominican Republic, Vice-Chairperson Ana Maria Patru from Romania, Secretary General Kim Yong-Hi from the Republic of Korea and representatives of the election management bodies of the Republic of Albania, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Burkina Faso, the Republic of India, the Republic of Kenya, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of El Salvador. During the Meeting, they discussed agendas such as A-WEB's main activities and achievements in 2015.

The representatives of the EMBs of the Republic of Cameroon, the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Kosovo were elected to constitute the next Oversight and Audit Committee members and their terms will begin on October 14, 2016.

The next Executive Board Meeting is going to be held either in the Republic of El Salvador or in the Republic of Korea where the A-WEB Secretariat is located.

On February 23rd, one day after the Executive Board meeting, the Election Commission of India held a seminar titled "Leveraging Technology for Transparent and Credible Elections" in order to facilitate exchange of information on best practices and sharing of each EMB's experience in election management.
